Eleven years ago we were living in Santa Barbara, I was finishing up school and we had Kira’s bday party at the beach. Fast forward to today, same idea but this time we went to Crystal Cove and instead of pinatas we had boys.
Polaroid Camera with fuji 100c. Loving the color, this film is great as long as you keep it out of the shadows where it tends to go green.

Fuji 3000b, always a favorite.

So proud of you Kira, so excited to see what the next fifteen years have in store.

Averi and Pearce

Averi and Pearce are awesome. Fuji 100c is also awesome. Enough said.

Fuji 3000b is the most awesome though, especially when plopped into this camera. Thanks to this guy for pointing me to that camera. If you like sun, mad photo knowledge and being inspired, there may still be a few open seats for his workshop this July in San Diego, I highly recommend.

Elsie loves Averi, they played dress up for about twenty hours this weekend.

Lev Rukhin

I met Lev when I was in high school, he is bar none the craziest and most talented person I know, with a heart of pure gold. He was born in the USSR and emigrated to Texas, and both locales live large in his persona. Everyone that knows him has at least one epic “lever story.” Ten years ago he traveled the world on his motorcycle, aptly named Fulcrum, and came home with a volume of amazing photographs from his experiences and some harrowing stories of death defying adventures. He’s an immensely talented photographer, click on this link to his portfolio at your own peril. You will lose yourself in his work, and you have been fairly warned.

Taken last week on my polaroid 600SE using Fuji 300b.

Shot last night in a downtown LA bar using same set up. 1/8 and 1/2 second respectively. I love this film.
