Jamie and I had the pleasure of reuniting with the Farley’s, a delightful family we photographed in Australia in 2009. They stopped off in LA during their month-long tour of the states.

Jamie planned Kira’s surprise 16th with the help of our dear friend Hyo and as well as Kira’s trio of “besties.” I think they did such a great job with all the details, and the night was such a great opportunity to see Kira in her element. I didn’t shoot much, too busy chaperoning, haha. [...]

When I first moved to this country from Australia I was impressed most by American’s unbridled optimism. It created an energy and industry that made nothing impossible. Today, as we celebrate this nation’s 235th birthday, may we embrace the optimism again and truly believe that our nations best days are ahead of us.
