We cruised Santa Monica on a Sunday afternoon. We started at the Viceroy, and made our way to Abbott Kinney. Warm afternoon with two great people and one perfect dog!

Color shot on expired polaroid film with my hasselblad 501c with 80mm. Below shot on polaroid 600SE with fuji 300b. I gave the positives to aaron and judith to take home, so I scanned the negatives and inverted in ps.

LA County Museum of Art

These two have style to spare. We spent a lovely afternoon capturing some engagement photos in and around the LA County Museum of Art. Of course it didn’t take long for me to lead them away from the formality of the museum grounds and into someone’s private garden. They didn’t bat an eye, yet another reason our clients are awesome.

Silverlake

Yes, it’s hipster heaven. Yes there is a dress code (fedora, skinny jeans, authentic Ray Ban Wayfarers and ironic t shirts a must). Yes you must be working on a screenplay to purchase your chai soy latte at Intelligensia (preferably on a macbook pro). Yes you must eat all natural foods (compost a major bonus). And yes, they are listening to a cooler band than you right now, and are silently mocking you for listening to THAT band that they liked before they were cool…But so what, Silverlake is still one of the best little spots in LA, mostly because it is a place that could exist only in LA.

Millie and Darren are not hipsters, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t hip. They brought their own flair to Silverlake last week, and despite a few mixups with a cactus here and there, this ended up being one of the most enjoyable shoots we’ve ever had. Right on.

Shot on a lomo, which by the way, gives me MAJOR hipster points.

Robyn and Reggie

Reggie and Robyn are getting married at The Victorian this May, we met up in Long Beach on one of those rare rainy days in Socal. We started out at Reggie’s place and ended up along the seaside at the very spot he professed his love for Robyn.

Reggie lives in a luxury condo originally built just after World War I. The building is so full of history and the views are amazing. I immediately wanted to move in!

Thanks to you both for a wonderful afternoon, we can’t wait for the big day!
